Музично-театральна резиденція «Light & Space», створена  на базі Молодіжного музичного хабу СХІД ОПЕРА для художників з освітлення, режисерів, сценографів, направлена на опанування нових знань у сфері цифрових технологій сценічного світла, розвинення навичок при розробці світлової партитури оперно-балетної вистави. Вона поєднує творчі конкурси, концептуалізацію, лекції, воркшопи, пітчинг, практичну роботу над особистими проєктами, прем’єрний показ робіт у вигляді світлового шоу під супроводом симфонічного оркестру. Проєкт є наступним кроком в реалізації стратегії розвитку СХІД ОПЕРА як європейського центру розвитку української музично-театральної культури, вдосконалення української мистецької неформальної освіти. Резиденція поєднує можливості державної культурної інституції, творчий потенціал молодих та знаних в Україні митців, напрацьовує технології та досвід співтворчості.

Цей проєкт є продовженням сталого розвитку ініціативи ХНАТОБ «Молодіжний музичний хаб Схід ОПЕРА». Започаткований у 2018 році, він пройшов декілька етапів розвитку. Попередні ініціативи: «Молодіжний музичний хаб СХІД ОПЕРА – конкурс композиторів», «Перша українська музично-театральна резиденція Молодіжний музичний хаб Схід ОПЕРА» та проведений «Другий конкурс композиторів», що були реалізовані за підтримки УКФ, мали на меті розвиток саме музичного напряму у створенні сучасної вистави та побудову відкритих творчих стосунків між великим національним театром та молодими митцями України. Реалізація запропонованого проєкту стане етапом всебічного розвитку сучасного українського музичного театру, і – як однієї з найголовніших його складових: органічного та професійного поєднання музичної частини вистави з технічною частиною – театральним світлом.

THE MUSIC AND THEATRE RESIDENCE "LIGHT & SPACE"

The Music and Theatre Residence "Light & Space" on the basis of the Youth Music Hub of the Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after M.V. Lysenko / SKHID OPERA is created for stage lighting designers, directors and set designers. The task of the residence is acquiring new knowledge in the sphere of digital technologies of stage lighting, development of skills in designing of the lighting score of opera and ballet performances. Activities in the framework of the residence include creative competitions, conceptualizations, lectures, workshops, pitching sessions, practical work of participants on their own projects, premiere demonstrations of works in the form of a light show accompanied by a symphonic orchestra. This project represents the next step in implementing the development strategy of SKHID OPERA as a European center of development of the Ukrainian musical and theatrical arts and improving the Ukrainian non-formal artistic education, and combines the capabilities of a state cultural institution with the creative potential of young and well-known artists in Ukraine, developing the technologies and gaining the experience of artistic collaboration.

This project is a continuation of the sustainable development of the KhNATOB’s initiatives of involvement of creative youth in the active artistic process. Launched in 2018, it has been developed in several stages. Its previous initiatives included the Youth Music Hub of SKHID OPERA – Competition of Composers, the First Ukrainian Music and Theater Residence – Youth Music Hub of SKHID OPERA and the Second Competition of Composers, which were implemented with the support of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. They were aimed at developing the musical trend in the creation of modern performances and establishing open creative relations between the Grand National Theater and young artists of Ukraine. The implementation of the proposed project will be an important stage in the development of the modern Ukrainian musical theater through comprehension of the role of one of the most important components of every performance - the theatrical lighting.
